Seasons Greetings

'Tis the season for, well, madness at best. Everyone bustling around being self absorbed, rude and aggravated. No one remembers why Christmas is supposed to be special. For some it's a deeply religious holiday in which they celebrate their saviors birth, for others it's a time to spend with family.
Unfortunately consumerism has taken over yet another aspect of our lives and tells us we gotta spend spend spend or they won't love us anymore. Whatever happened to " 'tis better to give then receive"? It's not supposed to matter what you give or how much you give or how much you spend, it's that it came from your heart. I fear that within the next five years it won't be Christmas anymore but some twisted mutated version were everyone losses sanity and Christmas as we know it becomes a vague petrified memory to blurry to make out.
I guess what I'm trying to say is remember what Christmas really means to you, then hold it near and dear to your heart, teach your children to value it as well for they are our future and what they see is what will be reflected in the years to come. Make sure we have something to look forward to.
So whether it's Yule, Christmas, Hanukkah, or however you celebrate, Happy Holidays!
